The buds are beginning to open on the trees, and the crocuses are popping up. It's been a snowless winter here in Sitka, so we might as well move on and start dreaming of sailing.
Amy Sanders sailed with us two seasons ago and painted a stunning portrait of S/V BOB in Glacier Bay. We wanted to share it with you because we love it. Her other amazing work can be seen on her gallery's website.
We are headed to Petersburg in May. Why the Viking helmets? Well because we will be attending the Little Norway Festival, of course. We still have trips open. (Thanks Krista and J for modelling)
The S/V BOB crew took a break from dreaming about skiing and tried sailing in the Caribbean. Four other hearty and brave friends from Alaska ventured to the British Virgin Islands with us. We mostly avoided sunburns, the perils of rum drinks, and pirates, and had a great time snorkeling, sailing, and exploring this gentile cruising ground. Highly recommended. I think we'll be doing it again next winter.
TRIPS IN MAY ARE ON SALE.
