Lillian traveled out to Maasai Land on a Rosslyn Academy CFS (Cultural Field Study) to spend a week serving with Mission:180. They spent the majority of the time working in the orphanage caring for kids birth to four years of age - loving on the kids and providing the care givers some much needed rest and encouragement. The orphan side of the mission had construction ongoing so they got in some hard labor helping the local builders - though we know the guys likely had to redo the work while the kids slept :)

Ella Jade has me extra proud this week. She has been trying to recruit some girls for a early morning Bible study and mentoring group with one of the young ladies from high school. This morning they had two girls show up for a 7am breakfast. Considering the time and insane Nairobi traffic I count this a great beginning. Pray with Ella Jade that more girls will feel called to participate and help each other grow in understanding of The Word.

Duncan is wrapping up the basketball season this weekend with a tournament at Rift Valley Academy (Boarding school run by Africa Inland Mission). He has really enjoyed the program and plans to continue to work on skills and get physically stronger to enhance his play at forward in the off season. Particularly impressive is the emphasis at Rosslyn on personal character development. Here Coach Sampson is spending time during practice visiting some character building opportunities. Wonderfully healthy environment for these kids.
