This means if you’re networking for a job and someone doesn’t seem like they want to help, invest your time elsewhere. If you’re applying for a job and you don’t seem to meet all the criteria, give yourself the chance to prove your experience matters.

Instead of being pushed and pulled by the tide, be the Moon and command the tide with your own power.

Change happens by chance or by choice. When it does you can feel out of control, direction-less, uncertainty. To cope you can talk it out or practice change management.

Outline your job search objectives. What's the desired outcome of your job search? Are you simply looking for a filler job … or a lifelong career?
Be selective, not desperate. If you want to land a dream career, then you need to know what you want and what you don't want.
Dress the part. The rule of thumb used to be to dress business formal for all interviews, however, that's not always the best recommendation, these days.
