There will be craft demonstrations during the exhibition upstairs in the Hills Room featuring many local members of the Suffolk Craft Society. Some will offer the chance to join in! No need to book except for Sally Dunham's ceramics workshop on Monday.
Come join the fun!
Saturday 28th March - 2.30 to 3.30pm
Sally Freer (Printmaking) will demonstrate the process of screen printing and invite visitors to ‘have a go’. Everyone welcome!
Caroline Moiret (Glass) will also be available to discuss her work and the exhibition.
Sunday 29th March - 2.30 to 3.30pm
Dylan Pym (Furniture) will be talking about collecting native woods sourced from around Sudbury and combining these in different ways to produce his unique range of furniture. Everyone welcome!
Mary Jane Toulson (Weaving) will also be available to discuss her work and the exhibition.
Monday 30th March - 10.30 to 11.30 am
Sally Dunham (Ceramics) is offering a practical clay workshop for people of all ages to find out how to use pinch pots to make animal figures. Please email sallyfreer@btinternet.com to book your place.
Peter Owen (Furniture) will also be available to discuss his work and the exhibition.
Monday 30th March - 2.30 to 3.30pm
Alison Dane (Jewellery) will give a demonstration using paper to create the components of her brightly coloured necklaces and earrings. Everyone welcome!
Jill Desborouogh (Puppets) will also be available to discuss her work and the exhibition.
Tuesday 31st March - 10.30 to 11.30am
Catherine Allen (Jewellery) will explore the processes of constructing her special beads using different types and colours of glass and forged sterling silver clasps to create her beautiful jewellery. Everyone welcome!
Katie Walker (Felt) will also be available to discuss her work and the exhibition.
Tuesday 31st March - 2.30 to 3.30pm
Peter Owen (Furniture) will talk about working with plywood and using colour to create his unusual range of furniture. As well as explaining the intricacies of the constructional process of making furniture Peter would welcome parents with small children to test his special high chair. Everyone welcome!
Sally Freer (Printmaking) will also be available to discuss her work and the exhibition.
Refreshments will be available throughout the exhibition for a small donation.
No need to book a workshop place except for Sally Dunham's ceramics on Monday 30th March
