Prayer Update

Praise God for Undeserved Blessings

In these past weeks we have received many blessings from God. We are thankful for what He has done. We rejoice in His faithfulness and look forward to what He will continue to do.

Ecko's knee: Ecko restarted her physical therapy upon returning from our weeks of camp in Lima. She spent one more week with her therapist. At the end of the week the therapist told her she was pleased with her progress and she was done with her therapy! God graciously prevented the injury from being worse. She partially tore her MCL and her meniscus, but in 2 months it healed sufficiently and without surgery! We praise God for His protection and healing.

Time with coworkers: It was a blessing to spend two weeks in Lima with our Baptist Mid-Missions Peru team. We spent the first week with our Lima/Trujillo missionaries and about 140 Peruvian pastors and their families. The second week was missionary camp and we had 64 of us: missionary families, Fetzer teachers, ARRIBA students, and our speaker and his wife (missionaries in Argentina). We were challenged spiritually: the first week about dealing with conflicts biblically and the second week about living the truth of the Beatitudes. Time to talk and fellowship with our mission team is always a great blessing and encouragement to us.

Ministry opportunities: With more time here in Trujillo we are finding more opportunities to help with different church ministries. Developing relationships with people from church has been a highlight. Caleb preaches regularly (15 times so far this year), and Ecko helps with nursery, ladies' meetings, and building relationships with the women and children. Our kids are learning more  Spanish by attending and participating in church.  It is a joy to see them trying to listen and even take sermon notes in Spanish.  King's Kids starts soon, and we are excited to see how God will work as we assist in teaching, mentoring, and crowd control.  Ecko and the kids are excited because they will be able to build up their Bible memory in Spanish.

Seminary has begun: Monday, March 9 began the activities for this school year. God has brought us 27 new students! The number of students is a direct answer to the prayers of those involved with the seminary. Professors and students together had a day of orientation (talking about goals for the year and how to with conflicts, and interacting and building relationships) followed by regular classes.  Caleb teaches 2 classes this semester: Basic Doctrine to the 1st year students and Church History to the 3rd year students. More teaching opportunities with other groups within the seminary during this semester are still in the works.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers. We are blessed to serve God here in Peru, and your prayers are a vital resource for us. May we continue to serve Him faithfully with the time He gives to us.

Until all have heard,
Caleb, Ecko, Joe, Jack, Isabel, and Isaac Stein
