Join the Mythos Challenge

Enroll Online for the Museum Play competition. The Portland Art Museum has great resources for youth and educators online here. We've also posted a DIY guide to our Tumblr site, which has a bunch of tutorials as well.

At SEI, youth have been making original games to enter into the Mythos Challenge. These are some of the characters made by 1 youth team. Entitled Sun Knight, the world has been shuttered in darkness, and you must free Sun gods and goddesses of different world traditions.

We hope you or your school will join us in supporting youth making games!

Recent Community Event

PIGSquad Drink 'n Draw!

The Portland Indie Game Squad hosted its second Drink 'n Draw event in late February, inviting artists, game lovers, and developers to come together and make art based on the games they played! Attendance was very high at over 170 people, including many youth who were able to participate in festivities until 9pm. Join us in summer for the next Drink 'n Draw, and read more about the recent event via PIGSquad's Patreon page.

The Giving Wall

Thank you Jon Dodson for donating $250 to support Pixel Arts growing programs!

Monthly giving shows foundations that we are secure and helps us obtain grants. Please consider making your donation a monthly gift through direct bank deposit or by paypal.

On the lookout for meeting space!

Both Pixel Arts and our allies in the Portland Indie Game Squad are on the lookout for free or inexpensive meeting spaces for events like meetups, open houses, camps, game tournaments, or game jams. If you know of a space that would be interested in hosting gatherings of 25 people or more, please contact Will at Will@GameEducationPDX.com.
