Niagara Falls City Council Meetings To Feature Live Real-Time Captioning
Beginning at the March 24 City Council meeting, residents will be able to benefit from real-time captioning of the meetings during live broadcasts on TV Cogeco.
Real-time captioning displays a live word-for-word translation of all speech during council meetings. Primarily, this will help people who are deaf, deafened or hard of hearing.
At the City of Niagara Falls, we value accessibility, and look to provide accessible options with all our services. We are committed to educating the public, and increasing barrier-free accessibility in our community for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.

Tips to Prevent Basement Flooding This Spring
As warmer weather and spring rain melts away snow, residents are reminded that any basement is at risk of flooding - even if it has never happened before!
Tips To Prevent Basement Flooding
1. Clear snow away from your foundation
2. Ensure your eaves-troughs and downspouts are clear of snow, ice, leaves and other debris that may prevent proper drainage
3. Reduce your water use on rainy days
4. Seal cracks or openings in wall, floors, windows and foundations, and seal all window wells
5. Check to make sure your sump pump and/or backwater valve is cleaned of debris and working properly
Find out more details on how you can take advantage of the City’s Weeping Tile Disconnection funding program. The program includes sump pump and backwater valve installation. Some conditions apply.

Will Gadd Returns to Niagara Falls for Wings for Life World Run!
Niagara Falls has seen it's fair share of record attempts over the years. Most recently, a new record was set when Canadian professional ice climber & adventurer Will Gadd became the first person to successfully climb up the frozen falls in late January 2015.
Now, Will Gadd has set his sights on a new challenge when he will return to Niagara Falls on May 3, 2015 to run in the Wings for Life World Run. While he might not be chasing a world record, his main goal is to get out there and have fun in order to one day find a cure for spinal cord injury.
Click here to join Will Gadd's team at the Wings for Life World Run on May 3rd, 2015 in Niagara Falls!
