Rooted—We’re Better Together

When you lose something valuable it’s frustrating. When something valuable has been stolen it’s maddening. And when both happens, it’s overwhelming.

A woman in one of our winter session Rooted groups had her car stolen and with it, her passport which she happened to have in her car when it was taken.

As the police began searching for her car, her Rooted group searched for ways to come alongside her in this time of need. They did a few things.

1. They prayed for her and rallied to her over this tragic situation.
2. In the midst of this, she was tempted to think in some way God was punishing her but her group corrected her and assured her with biblical truth. God casts our sins “as far as east is from the west” through Christ and that those feelings were the enemy working to rob her of the joy and forgiveness of God’s grace. Bad things do happen to good people but God works to bring good out of it.
3. The group took an offering amongst themselves to cover a rental car for one week for her until the police could hopefully find her car!

Amazingly, at this point, the police are still searching for her car (please pray for it to be found) but someone found her passport behind a dumpster in a city miles away and gave it to an officer to return to her!

• In less then 10 weeks, this Rooted group were strangers and are now like family.
• They’ve grown in their relationship with God and are becoming more like Jesus.
• They are bearing one another’s burdens—as the church is called to do.
• They’re going to be baptizing some of their members over Easter as public demonstrations of their new faith.
• After Rooted is over, they want to be a Community Group to keep meeting, growing and serving as they follow Jesus.

God Wants Everyone Connected to Him, His Family and their Purpose

Imagine what God can do in you and through you as you take steps towards getting connected to God, the church family and your purpose?

As we approach Easter, I want to encourage you to not only celebrate with us, but bring some friends who need a new beginning in their life with God. Rooted would be a great next step opportunity for some of you to do Rooted with a friend exploring faith!

Our Rooted 10-week spiritual growth experience spring session starts on April 12. Childcare and multiple days/times are available. Don’t delay; registration closes on Tuesday, 11:59 pm, April 7.

Are you interested? For more information and to register for Rooted Spring Session, click here.

Praying for you to take your next step with Jesus and Rooted!
