Consumer Champion responds to Surrey Care home closures
Last week, Surrey County Council announced its decision to close its 6 remaining care homes for older people, which will result in the relocation of 133 residents and two carer respite services.
Mike Rich, CEO of Healthwatch Surrey, responded to the announcement, 'It is disappointing to hear that the council decided against the expressed wishes of local people on this issue'.
