Endicott's Toxic Plume Reduced By 80% Since 2004, Says DEC
New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation has been working with IBM to clean up a chemical spill in Endicott for years now. At a public meeting last night, officials from the DEC gave an update on one of the contaminated areas identified for cleanup.

Could the New York State Budget End Up In Court?
The state budget ​might end up in court under some scenarios, as state lawmakers are discussing possible legal action against Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s budget. He wants to link the budget to a number of unrelated items, like ethics reform and education changes. The governor says he’ll hold up the budget past the due date if legislators don’t agree. 

Report Questions Chemung Economic Development Groups
A report from a New York State regulator calls into question the work of two Chemung County economic development groups. The state Authorities Budget Office (ABO) says that the Chemung County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) did not properly monitor or follow up on projects to which it granted tax breaks.
