After a brief delay, and therefore more time for refills of the frozen yoghurt at Nandos, we boarded our flight for Oslo and now find ourselves over the North Sea heading for Norway.
 
There’s a great team coming with us. Simon (whom I studied with in OCCA) is heading up the group. He and are I sharing the talks this week.
 
We have my good friends Ian and Celina who were also part of the 2011/12 year at OCCA. They are doing some amazing work with Betel of Europe and it’s so good to have them joining us.
 
And then we have Daniel, Madeline, and Anna who studied together in the 2013/14 OCCA year. To be honest, it’s pretty much an All Star cast!
 
We’ve been praying together for this trip and now as we start there is a growing sense of expectation and excitement. We’ll be joining with the Christian Union in Oslo to deliver two lunchtime talks and an evening talk each day. Outside of these talks we’ll be flyering – inviting the students of the University to the talks – and meeting up to chat with people who have been to an event and have further questions.
 
Mission Weeks require a lot of energy to keep going but it is matched by the adrenaline that comes from the excitement and the focus of the task at hand.
 
As we set out feet on the ground shortly we’ll meet our hosts before heading to get some rest before we start tomorrow morning.
 
Prayer Points

• That we form good relationships with our hosts and get to know these people who are opening up their dorm rooms, inviting us in to their world and therefore trusting us with their peers and friends. To be invited on mission is no small privilege!
• For discernment from the Holy Spirit about the week. We know God goes before us. We would love to understand where He has been at work so that our efforts graft in well with His plans for the University.
• That we get good rest tonight, refreshing us ready to deploy all our energies tomorrow!
