The Power of Few Words…

Over the last few months Andrene and I have been impacted and encouraged by so many kind, positive, faith filled words from many people. It reminded me of the simple principle of the power that there is in speaking few words.

Often in life, we like to hear our voice too much, instead we need to follow the true example of Jesus where often he said nothing or few words and his actions were an astounding and powerful statement to all around.

Mark 14 verse 61 reads:-
But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?"

And Hebrews 4 verse 12-13 reads:-
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart…

Our words should be positive words of faith; words that encourage, words that are powerful and come from the intention of a pure heart.

In this week, I challenge you to really think about the words that you use to the people around you, people in your Church, your neighbors and family.

Be Leaders that understand and fulfill the power of few words.

A Personal Note…
I would just like to express my thanks to everyone for your constant prayers, gifts, encouraging words over the last few weeks for Andrene and myself. Life is full of ups and downs but God remains the same in all situations.

Andrene’s operation was a success and removing half of the bowel the cancer has been 100% removed, with there will be no other major treatment necessary. She is now just resting and getting back to full strength.

Every blessing,
John Partington
