NYA Community Network E-News
March 2015

It's official - the film world now has a new, beautiful space to showcase their talent!
On March 3rd, NYA and Toronto Centre for the Arts (TCA) hosted the Big Screen Preview to showcase the new film equipment in TCA's George Weston Recital Hall and it was a big hit with the film community! Big Screen Preview provided audiences with the opportunity to preview the capabilities of the newly installed film equipment, ask staff at Toronto Centre for the Arts specific questions and network with other industry professionals. We got some great feedback from the local and film community.

Thank you to everyone who came out on March 3rd. If you missed it but are still interested in learning more about what the Toronto Centre for the Arts has to offer, let us know. We would be happy to organize a sequel to the Big Screen Preview.

All the best,

From all of us at NYA

The George Weston Recital is widely recognized as Canada's best recital hall and one of the top concert venues in the world. The Hall was opened by the magnificent soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa on November 22, 1993.

Many audiences and artists have compared the hall to Amsterdam's Concertgebouw
and Vienna's Grosser Musikvereinsaal, the European recital halls on which the
George Weston Recital Hall was modeled. With 1,036 seats, the hall's proportions and decor reflect the influence of these two blue-ribbon international venues. There is literally no place like it in North America.

Discounts are available for short notice bookings (maximum notice of 7 weeks, minimum notice of 3 weeks), limited to certain days and may be subject to availability. Additional discounts are available for Stage Crew and Front of House staffing rates.
