West Building official opening

The Adelaide Convention Centre’s West Building, the first completed stage in its multi-million dollar expansion, opened with a week-long program of business, arts and free community events.  Since construction began, Hughes PR has worked to position the Centre favourably with the community, existing and potential clients. The communications program has captured the attention of the South Australian community and generated widespread TV, print and digital coverage locally and nationally.

The expansion is expected to inject more than $1.92 billion to the state’s economy over the next 25 years. In the next few years alone, 600 conferences, events and seminars have been secured for the expanded Centre, bringing 71,000 delegates to Adelaide and creating 226,000 bed nights.  Special events will continue this weekend

Statewide - super result

Recently StatewideSuper announced it had achieved $6 billion in funds under management - the figure has almost tripled since July 2012. This combined with its membership of 150,000 members including 18,000 employers now makes StatewideSuper the 15th largest fund in Australia. It was also recently ranked fourth among Australia’s top 10 performing growth funds, by Super Ratings. Hughes has worked with Statewide to ensure its members and the greater community are aware of these achievements.
