Tring In Transition Newsletter March 2015

The Eco Fair is back! Saturday 25th April Victoria Hall 10am-4pm

Bigger and better than ever..... lots of interesting stalls for everyone. Bring your friends and family and come along and join in the fun!
If you would like to help in the success of the event, we still need a few more volunteers for help on the day, especially serving refreshments. If you could spare an hour or two on the 25th April, we would love to hear from you.
As we are collaborating with Tring Together, and it is the launch of the annual Spring Fayre, we would also love to hear from anyone who could spare an hour to help deliver Spring Faye leaflets around Tring.
Thanking you in anticipation.
See the end of the newsletter for our website and email links.
National Transition Roadshow at Berkhamsted 19th April

We're excited about The National Transition Roadshow coming to Berkhamsted on Sunday
19th April!  We know you will want to be there, and would like you, please, to book your tickets as soon as possible so we get an idea of numbers.

There will be loads of interesting and fun workshops during the day, and in the evening we will be celebrating Transition with a Conversation with the (co-)founder of the Transition movement, Rob Hopkins, plus entertainment from Transition - the Musical.

If you are on the fringes of Transition and want to know what all of the fuss is about, there are workshops introducing all of the different aspects.  If you're more deeply involved, there are workshops to help you take it to the next level, and to help the Transition Network do the same.

You can find out more and book your tickets on the Transition Berkhamsted website  You can book for the whole day, just part of it, or even just book an individual workshop.
Website update

We have updated our website to include a section on Finance. Do follow the link to the Positive Money website, they are suggesting some solutions to our current economic problems. If you agree with their point of view – please sign the petition!
We are also displaying our Twitter stream. This means that even if you don’t use Twitter yourself, you can click on Twitter links from our website to find interesting videos and articles.
There is also information about the playing out scheme. Longfield Road has been successfully running the scheme for over a year now. On the third Sunday of the month the road is closed to traffic for a couple of hours to let children play in the street safely and gives an opportunity for neighbours to get together for a chat.
