Family Easter Activities

Free drop in activities for families. No need to book. Please call if you are a group interested in attending. Check our facebook page for any changes to the activities. Under 8's must be accommpanied by an adult.
Donations always gratefully received.

Den Building

Wednesday 1st April
2 - 4pm

Come and have a go at making your own woodland den using natural materials (8yr+). Free

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday 4th April
10.30-12.30pm

Come and have a look round the spring farm and take part in our Easter Egg hunt. 50p a go

Woodland Activities and Bike Swap

Wednesday 8th April

2 - 4pm

Fun activities in the woods for all ages. Printing with Leaves - Make a Nature Stick - Have a go at Woodland Hoopla. Free

The APE project will have some bikes to swap (bring your outgrown bikes) and some bikes to sell.

Volunteering at Weekends

12 -18 year olds

Would you like to come and help on the farm at weekends? You will work with the animals, get stuck in to farm work, get some work experience and meet new people. Drop into the farm for more info or call Ian on 01179381128 or email ian@lwfarm.org.uk

Adults

We are looking for an adult volunteer who would like to help us with our 2 hour Sunday afternoon woodland sessions for 8 - 11yr olds. You will need an interest in outdoor play or education. This opportunity would suit someone who is interested in learning about Forest Schools. Please call Ian on 01179381128 or email ian@lwfarm.org.uk

Getting to the farm

Catch the Severn Beach train to Shirehampton and walk/cycle through Kings Weston House.
Catch the Number 40 bus from Bristol and get off on Long Cross opposite Ridingleaze shops.
If you are driving:
Exit left from Blaise Castle car park, take first right into Long Cross. Saltmarsh Drive is 3rd turning on the right.
Leave the M5 at Junction 18 a and follow signs for Shirehampton B4054. Turn left at Kingsweston Ave cross roads, carry along Long Cross, over the roundabout and then first left on to Saltmarsh Drive.
