Dear Community of Enlightenment,

I truly need your mindful presence this Sunday 5 pm (or Monday 7:30 pm if you cannot make it on Sunday).  I appreciate all of your distant prayers, AND you can put more energy into the prayer power by meditating with me IN PERSON too.  You may not realize it, but there is at least 10x more power in prayer when done in a mindful group context of spiritual practice.  Collectively, we raise the healing vibration a hundredfold.  So, I am asking you very urgently and sincerely to please attend this Sunday or Monday, before I go away to Houston and another place for around two months for further cancer treatments (both proton radiation therapy as well as alternative integrative therapies).

But not only does group practice benefit me and others, it also most definitely benefits YOU in very profound ways.  Those of you who have been practicing regularly for the past year, especially since I found out about the cancer, are the ones who have accumulated MUCH positive merit and spiritual reservoirs.  This reservoir of merit will serve you in deep ways, such as preventing cancer or healing you in physical and spiritual levels, or giving you the fearless faith in helping someone else go through a disease or crisis.  Those of you who have listened to my Dharma talks in the last year while I have been on my healing journey have received some of the best light and energy of my entire life thus far.  You have received a very rare and precious transmission, acquired at great sacrifice.  And it's not so much in facts and information necessarily, but a subtle transmission of ENERGY on a heart to heart level of SOUL.

Through multiple therapies on many levels and approaches (conventional, alternative, physical, spiritual, etc.), I have been able to dissolve the original tumor in my left nostril.  And now, I need to continue to dissolve the secondary tumor that is growing behind my right eye, which is pressing on my optic nerve and causing 99% temporary blindness and some pain.

While I am away, please continue to attend Sangha and to practice diligently.  Do it for me, or do it for you, or do it for God, or do it for humanity.  But whatever reason you do it, JUST DO IT, as the Zen masters of old advised.   :-)

Please make this Sangha commitment now, and please also make a commitment to supporting our Sangha center with your financial generosity on a regular basis (such as $100 per month, for example).  To be able to afford our move into a new building around June or July 2015, we need a MINIMUM of 50 members who are willing to pledge $100 per month (or 100 members willing to pledge $50 per month) starting now.  Please support your Sangha, for by doing so you are truly supporting the Buddha and the Dharma too.

Can I count on you?  Yes, you?  I place my heart of trust in your hands now.  And I believe you will say YES to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.  Thank you!

In heartful gratitude,
Brother ChiSing
