Emergent Networks 30th Anniversary Logo
Emergent Networks is a leader in the Information Technology field in Minnesota and the company is celebrating a major milestone in 2015. The company is turning 30 and we've developed a series of logos and supporting graphics to carry the anniversary message in a variety of mediums.
The solutions Malley Design developed give the Emergent Networks team the flexibility to use the full anniversary logo (above) in cases where the application calls for a bold presentation, and the supporting company logos with anniversary tags when the situation calls for a more subtle treatment (below). We look forward to celebrating this milestone with such a great partner over the remainder of the year.
Made in Minnesota and the Insights Lecture Series
The designers of Malley Design (sorry Denae) recently attended the Insights Lecture Series event “Minnesota Design: A Celebration,” featuring Andrew Blauvelt at the Walker Art Center. Blauvelt is the Walker’s Senior Curator of Design, Research and Publishing.
 Minnesota has a rich history and culture of design, which is still very relevant and vibrant—in the Twin Cities specifically but not exclusively. The night’s presentation celebrated design in Minnesota with Blauvelt revealing the Walker’s new web-based Minnesota design collection. It’s a fun, interactive map with photos and descriptions of some of the most iconic designs from The North Star State. We highly recommend taking some time to peruse the site.
Following the lecture was the opening of the MGDA/AIGA Minnesota: A History Exhibit, marking the history of the AIGA Minnesota chapter on the occasion of the AIGA’s 100th anniversary. The short lived exhibit featured graphic design works from local designers, a historical collection of the AIGA’s annual Design Camp posters dating back to 1970, and more.
It was a great event to attend and socialize with our peers in the industry. Everyone in attendance received a swag bag with locale-specific items. The bags featured miniature screen prints of one of our favorite designers, Aaron Draplin’s “Thank You Minnesota” poster.
What we have here in Minnesota is truly special, and we at Malley Design feel very fortunate to be a part of a thriving creative community that continues to delight and surprise. Here's to many more years of Minnesota creativity!
