We are expanding our team, strengthening our resources and CRM version 5.5 is on the launchpad (see below). I hope you have a lovely Spring. Tom Ellis, MD, Harlequin

Nightingale House Hospice case study

"As we’ve had the system for 8 years, we have some really interesting data - we have around 35,000 active contacts. Harlequin is used at every level to analyse, monitor and review activity.

"This year we celebrate our 20th Anniversary and plan to maximise the success of our annual events based on the information we hold in the system."

New face at Harlequin

Mike Keating has joined the development team as a SQL Developer. Mike has 20 years of experience in working in multiple disciplines including analysis, development, testing, application support, data migration, MIS and Business Intelligence. He has previously worked at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Nationwide.

Already Mike has helped to enhance the data migration service offered by Harlequin, streamlining data exports from third party systems in a reduced timeframe.

Afghanaid selects Harlequin

“We chose Harlequin as we prefer suppliers that replicate our personal approach to customer service – Harlequin stood out for offering the best relationship. The software is both sophisticated and robust, giving us room to grow and innovate whilst doing a solid job in fundraising. In the future I can see the system helping with grant and trust management to link us with our colleagues in Afghanistan.”

Harlequin event news

Already in 2015, Harlequin has supported 4 sector events. We were once again headline sponsor of the IoF Yorks Convention and gold sponsor of the National Association of Hospice Fundraisers Conference. We also manned our prime location stand at CHASE - a major event in the charity IT world. In the next 2 months we will be main sponsor of the IoF South West Conference and will be exhibiting at the IoF Technology Group Conference. We are also planning more Harlequin sector workshops; further details will follow.

Upgrade update

Either side of Easter, Harlequin CRM, version 5.5, is being issued to clients via email. The release is being accompanied by a full changelog and highlights document.

The enhancements include upgraded communication and task functionality, improved speed throughout the system (especially reporting & queries), improved search capabilities and an Outlook plugin to save emails directly from Outlook into Harlequin. The ‘templates' tool has also been enhanced.
