THE NEWS THAT'S FIT TO PRINT
(That's a saying right? If not...well, it is now!)
Things have been busy over here at Seeing Spots. We have been doing a lot of behind the scenes work on several projects that are finally, kinda, sorta looking like they'll see the light of day soon. :-) In an effort not to bore you, I'll make this run down quick:
-- We have finished the "edit" portion of our upcoming (awesome) book. Next up is working on the layout, which is a time consuming process but we will try to speed it along for you. I know you're dying to read it, and we are dying to get it to you!
-- Workshops this fall! No, this is not an official announcement. Yes, we will be doing fall foliage workshops. We are in the process of obtaining permits now. If you have ever wanted to spend a day out in nature capturing some fabulous leaf peeping shots, you definitely want to be a part of our workshops...it's what all of the cool kids are doing. Keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement...aka, make sure these newsletters don't end up in your spam box. haha
-- If you're looking for photo help before the fall, I do offer private lessons. For more info about that, just shoot me an email. We do on location shooting time, image breakdown, editing help, etc.
-- Much like my CT photo guide, my business partner put together a pdf of lesser known, equally beautiful spots in Big Sur, California (and how to find them, which is the trickiest part!). You can get that for free through April 15 here. :-)
-- And then...you know...the standard stuff. Keeping up with the blog, filling print orders (doing our part to keep your walls looking purty!), magazine articles, etc.

PHOTO TIP!
When you find a place you like, don't just plop your tripod down, take a picture and leave. Spend some time finding the best angle for your image! Read more about that here.

Most of you got "Photography + Connecticut: The Nature and Landscape Mini Guide" as a free gift for signing up. For those of you who didn't... Sorry! But thankfully, it's still available through our e-book store. If you're planning a trip to Connecticut (with your camera) it's pretty much a *must read*.
