Understanding IRS Account Transcripts to Determine the Dischargability of Taxes


Please join the ACBA Bankruptcy Section for a practical tutorial on how to read and interpret IRS Account Transcripts to determine the dischargeability of taxes in bankruptcy.  This program will also address emerging issues in bankruptcy regarding the discharge of taxes.

Morgan King HeadshotMorgan King has been practicing law and writing and teaching on legal topics since 1971. Mr. King speaks and lectures frequently on the specialized subject of discharging taxes in bankruptcy, appearing before the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the California State Bar Educational Institute, and the Central District of California Bankruptcy Forum. His book, King’s Guide to Practice Under the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2005, is used by Federal District Courts and bankruptcy judges, IRS special procedures offices, bankruptcy trustees, bankruptcy lawyers and enrolled agents. He is also the author of the McGraw Hill course manual, Taxpayers’ Remedies in Bankruptcy.
