Easter is Coming!
Will you pray for us!
The picture above is of the audience at a festival I attended with Eragon and Chris Chen a couple of weeks ago. It is called the Bombing Dragon Festival. You can click the picture or HERE to watch a brief video. Tens of thousands of people came to watch what you saw in the video. It was dark and demonic. In Chinese culture, the dragon is viewed as good, a guide with wisdom. Another lie that the great dragon, Satan, has told the Chinese people for centuries. This Easter, while you celebrate the power of Christ's resurrection and His victory over death and sin, please pray that the Gospel would overcome this wickedness and bring light and life to the people of Taiwan!
Over the next couple of weeks, we'll share the Easter story several times. We want to ask you to pray specifically for the people who will hear about Jesus, many for the first time. Pray that the Holy Spirit will give them faith to believe in Him!
- This Tuesday at noon, I'll be talking to some college students at the National Teacher's University about Tomb Sweeping Day as we get ready for Easter and the following week, we'll present the Easter story! To learn more about Tomb Sweeping Day, Click Here to watch a short video.
- On April 11th, we'll have the entire college group over to our apartment for Easter dinner, an Easter Egg Hunt and to talk about the Easter story!
- This next Saturday evening, Crista will be presenting the Easter story to the Saturday night children's group. Most of these children and their parents have never heard this story before.
- The following week, Crista will be telling the Easter story to her 2nd & 3rd grade elementary class. Please pray specifically for her teaching partners, Annie & Christine.
- Also, over the next couple of weeks, I'll be talking to Eragon, Oscar, Robert and several others in personal conversations as I continue to share the Gospel with these dear friends.
Along with all of this, I'll be taking another national Chinese test this next Saturday. Speaking of Chinese, I just want to say thank you again for your prayers and support for my learning. I can quite easily speak with just about anyone now in daily conversation. While I still have much to learn and am a ways from fluency, I am not far from being able to clearly share the Gospel using complex language and grammar. Thank you and thanks to God for His grace and help to this middle aged man.
