Tuesday, the Harvey Milk Foundation & GLIFAA held an event to honor the 6 current openly-gay Ambassadors. Despite the glaring lack of diversity on the all-male, all-white panel - the fact that so many are in place is historic. Above is friend & former colleague US Amb. to Vietnam Ted Osius (and yours truly).
Unfortunate news from Thailand where the government would ban monks from being gay - from my experiences abroad - I would bet that 1/3 of monks probably are gay (just like those Catholic priests!).
Today Indiana Governor Mike Pence will sign discrimination into law - allowing businesses to refuse LGBT customers. Mississippi also signed a similar law - but even crazy conservative Jan Brewer in Arizona vetoed similar legislation last year. George Takei and a gamers convention have stated they would not return to the state if the law is signed.
