A big thank-you to everyone that came out last Saturday to help re-open the garden! Together, we successfully planted carrots, kale, collards, arugula, broccoli, spinach, beets, and onions.

Can't forget about the artistic contributions..

For the rest of the photos from the day, check out this Facebook album.

Next up, we'll start maintaining the beds, composting, mulching, and doing more artwork! The maintenance of the garden is going to be a little tricky for the time being, because the Department of Parks and Recreation has chosen not to turn on the water for the park until mid, or late, April, because of numerous pipe problems they experienced last year. If you have ideas or suggestions, please share.

Don't forget, our work days are Wednesdays 6-7pm, and Saturdays 4-5pm.

That's it for now,
see you in the garden!

Putting into your mouth what the Earth has grown is perhaps your most direct connection to [it].
