We all have a certain place in our lives where we feel comfortable and at home, whether it's being with a particular group of friends, or being in a familiar place. Some of us live for order and routine. Some of us like to just see where life takes us. Whatever your personal preference is, we all have a comfort zone.
In this week's message, Carys spoke on the story of Esther, and about how she didn't stay in her comfort zone, but chose to step out boldly, trust God, and follow His purpose for her life, regardless of the doubts, and discomfort that she must have felt. Carys referred to Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." This verse encourages us that no matter what life throws at us, God is always there with us, and that He will never leave us alone, even if we may feel that way at times.
Carys encouraged us all to step out of our comfort zones, just as Esther did, and to go boldly forward in whatever purpose God has for our lives. It is not always easy to do this. It is often far easier to stay, stuck in our little bubble, where we feel safe and secure, but this little bubble where we feel safe, is not always a good place to be if we want to progress in life. Sometimes, we must challenge ourselves and step out of our comfort zones. After all, it is only when we do this, that the "magic" of God's power can really operate in our lives.
Have a great week!
