With October 1, 2015 around the corner, FHIMA wants to ensure that our members are prepared! 

This two day ICD-10 event will provide a brief review of the foundational elements of ICD-10 CM and PCS followed by significant hands on ICD-10 CM and PCS coding practice using more complex case studies!

We will be focusing on ICD-10 scenarios similar to what coders will be encountering on October 1 – with a highlight on various aspects of ICD-10-CM/PCS impacting MS-DRGs! This session will require coders to put their critical thinking skills to work.

FHIMA 2015 Elections – Voting opens March 23rd!


FHIMA needs all active voting-eligible members to vote in the upcoming FHIMA elections. It only takes about 2 minutes to cast your vote!

FHIMA Election Polls will open online Monday, March 23rd! Each member who is eligible to vote will receive an email with a link to the ballot. You are eligible to vote if you have paid your AHIMA dues and have "Voting Member" listing on your AHIMA membership card. You will need your AHIMA ID number to vote. 

Please NOTE! An email with the ballot link WAS sent to everyone eligible to vote. If you did not receive it, it is because your facility or internet provider blocked the email. But, please be assured that it was sent to every eligible voter! 

Vote Today!

You will vote for 1 candidate for President-Elect, no more than 3 candidates for Director and 1 candidate for Chief Delegate. All candidate bios will be viewable. The online ballot will open at 8:00 am on Monday, March 23rd and will close Friday, April 24th at 11:59 pm.

FHIMA Student Convention Assistants are student volunteers who perform a variety of duties including: prepare meeting materials, introduce speakers, monitor educational sessions, assist presenters, assist at registration, greet attendees at the FHIMA Hospitality Booth and be runners for the Executive Director, Program Committee & Arrangements Committee. This opportunity is a great way to show your commitment as a rising HIM professional and get involved and meet & network with HIM professionals.

FHIMA Board of Directors - Student Liaison Position


The FHIMA Student Liaison sits on the FHIMA Board and acts as a liaison between students and the Board of Directors of FHIMA while participating in Board meetings, serving as a standing member of FIRE and Bridging the Gap Committees. This is a one year commitment.
