Volunteers Needed
Treasurer and Secretary Positions still need to be filled!
The Annual General meeting has come and gone an while we’re happy to have many new faces on the North Glenora Executive Committee, we still have two very important positions to fill. Both the Secretary and the Treasurer are key positions for the North Glenora Community League to run effectively. Please have a look at the position descriptions and if you are interested in helping out a few hours a month, please contact Ryan Young (ngcl.1vp@gmail.com) or Carolyn Aarnoutse (ngcl.2vp@gmail.com) to express your interest.
SECRETARY: You enjoy organizing meetings, record keeping and being an integral part of the community league.
Duties include:
• Assist President with development and distribution of the agenda;
• Write letters as required;
• Recommend bylaw changes to Executive Board, based on review of past minutes;
• Take and distribute the minutes of the NGCL Executive meetings;
• Act as one of the signing officers for cheques;
TREASURER: You are skilled in financial matters, and help the League to stay on budget throughout the year.
Duties include:
• Attend Executive Board, Annual General (AGM) and special meetings;
• Prepare a written report including the year-end financial review for distribution at AGM;
• Provide a financial report at Executive Board meetings;
• Maintain the financial records of the NGCL;
• Prepare the annual NGCL budget;
• Supervise the financial administrative tasks assumed by the NGCL Office Manager including deposits and
reconciliation of monthly bank accounts.
Building and Grounds are looking for volunteers to help keep the hall and grounds looking and working great. Please contact David or Guy at ngcl.grounds@gmail.com if you are interested in lending your handy person or gardening know-how.
North Glenora would not be the community minded neighborhood it is without all the help we get from our volunteers. We are always looking to meet our neighbors as they volunteer to lend a hand on the many subcommittees and events that the North Glenora Community hold. Kids Movie Night - Paddington Bear

Please bring a sleeping bag to lie on, enjoy some free popcorn and catch Paddington Bear on the big screen.
Please bring your own reusable cup for beverages and kids under the age of 14 require a responsible person 16 years or older to accompany them.

Pub Night - Volunteer Edition
Friday, April 17 at 8:00 pm
Celebrate both our NGCL Volunteers and the arrival of Spring with Pub Night on April 17. Drinks will be served from 8-11 pm. Free Pub Grub this month to say thanks to those who give their time and energy to make North Glenora “the best small town in the middle of this big city”. We will have the selection of beer and coolers Pub Night is getting well known for, and a lot of alcohol free beverages for you to enjoy as well.
If you are not a volunteer you are still more than welcome to join us and party. No, you will not get roped into working, but if you think you would like to volunteer there will be lots of people there to tell you how much fun it is.
