Gawler is now an official "Transition Town"!!!! 

Lets Celebrate with Drinks at the PA Hotel this Friday 27 March 2015!!!

Over the past couple of years we have been working towards  Transition Gawler becoming an official Transition Town, meaning that as a community we are ready to embark on a journey to a lower energy future. 

Earlier this month we received notification that we did it!!!

We are now the 479th Official Transition Initiative in the world, and join 45 other Official Transition Initiatives around Australia, being the 3rd Official Transition Initiative in South Australia.

To celebrate we have decided to bring the next monthly "First Fridays" forward a week (which will also avoid it being on Good Friday).

So come along to the PA Hotel (109 Murray Street, Gawler) this Friday night from 7:30pm, enjoy a meal, a drink or two, a friendly chat (or any combination of the above), to celebrate all the things we have worked towards and the achievements we have made so far on our journey to become an official "Transition Town".

If you don't know who to look for check out out "Meet the Transition Gawler Steering Committee" page on our website, there should be a few of us there, or just ask at the bar, they will be able to point you in the right direction.
