Teens ages 13-18 can apply to be camp counselors at Off to Neverland Camp August 3rd-7th! Counselors who work a full day at camp can earn $100 off of our Summer Intensive of Shrek!

Improv Show

And now we're back to do it again! Join us for another fantastic family friendly improv show brought to you by the CYT Santa Cruz Improv Team: (Somewhere over) The Rainbroz on Friday April 17th, 7-9pm.

For only $5, watch the Yellow Team face off against the Blue Team for a battle of the laughs!

HYPE Happenings

Aloha CYT!

Hope you guys are practicing those parts for showcase! I know I am!

Thanks to all of you that made it to the Disney Movie/Game night! It was loads of fun! If you thought that was fun, get ready to have your socks knocked right off because HYPE is planning a Luau!

On May 2nd, at the Bonn’s house (789 Sugar Pine Road, Scotts Valley, CA, 95066), we will be beating the heat Hawaiian style. The event will last from 4:00 - 9:00 PM and will be fun for the whole family to enjoy! Join us for Hula dancing, delicious food, and more! Individual tickets will be sold for $20. Families of 4 or more can get in for $70 (children 3 and under are free). All proceeds help send HYPE to EXPO in San Diego. So grab your grass skirts and leis, and join us on the Hawaiian roller coaster ride!

Want to make a difference in CYT? Consider applying for HYPE! If you have been with CYT for a year and will be 15 or a sophomore in high school by Fall Session, then you are eligible! Applications are due on April 23rd. Download an application here!

Class Information

Hi CYT Students and Parents,

Thank you to all the parents that attended our parent meeting on Thursday. We're off to a good start toward planning our fundraiser event! If you weren't able to attend, just email me and I can direct you to your committee chairperson, and get you plugged in right away! Everyone is encouraged to try to get donations for the silent auction/raffle part of the fundraiser. Any contributions are welcome! Donation forms can be downloaded here or found on the CYT website by logging into your family account and looking on the righthand sidebar.

Parents will have an opportunity to see a preview of the Night on Broadway performance by coming to the Family Showcase on May 14th from 6:00-7:15.

Finally, don't forget that we will not have class on April 9th, the Thursday after Easter, and we will resume class on April 16th.

Production Information

Hi families! A couple reminders:

Each child has received a script and a CD of their songs. Please use these to practice your vocals and choreography at home to be prepared for class each week.

You are responsible for bringing your script to class each week and taking it home with you.

Fundraiser Information

Thank you so much for the great turn out at the parent Meeting last week! Hopefully everyone feels tucked into a place to serve for the upcoming event, yet not overwhelmed with their tasks.

Please keep in your thoughts who you would like to invite that might enjoy being a benefactor to CYT. This event is also a great gift to folks that enjoy silent auctions/raffles and all around fun! We are stacking up quite an amazing night for our dinner guests!
This week at class we will be giving the kids each 5 printed invites for you to mail, meanwhile, here is an electronic invite.

Tickets are on sale and they are moving fast... we have already sold 3 front row tables!
