Thanks to Google maps we have a current aerial image of the property that Freedom owns here in the DR.  You can see the shop that we built two years ago, the apartment buildings , and the school with its 6 out of 72 classrooms.   You can even see three black lines on top of the school which are the solar panels that provide our electricity. 

We are currently building eight apartments.  Five of the apartments will be home to our five missionary families and the other three will house interns and teams.  We hope to move in early next year.  To make this happen we need your help!  Do you know how to lay block or do concrete work?  Do you want to learn how to lay block or do concrete work?  We can always use a construction intern!  Click here for intern info!

Freedom Christian School... Third quarter of 2015-2016 is over.  Our teachers visited the sugar cane villages to go house-to-house for parent-teacher conferences.  The parents are becoming accustomed to these quarterly visits, and relationships are forming.  Parents now know their child’s teacher and are more willing to share.  We see God using the school as the bridge back into the family.  It’s slow, yet exciting.  Please pray for the teachers and students as we are in the last quarter of the school year. If you speak English, consider spending some time with us in a classroom!  Think of your English as a gift, and come share it with our students.

As mentioned above our school is solar powered!  Electricity is very expensive here and very unreliable.  We have 18 solar panels, 8 big batteries, and a few controller/computer devices.  We worked with Son Light Power on this project and look forward to having our entire apartment building off-the-grid as well!!  If you would like to help with this project, You can give online or you can join us down here in person, especially if you're an electrician!  Seriously, we'll have a lot of wiring to do this fall.  If you're interested in taking a trip, let us know!
