The Workplace of the future: how will it look like?
Facility Management - known for having an integrated approach of operating, maintaining, improving and adapting the infrastructure of an organization in order to create the best possible working environment. Providing attractive workplaces is therefore a task for the facility manager to execute well. But how will the facility manager anticipate on the changing factors concerning the work places? How will this look in the future? How accessible will future offices be from home, and as a matter of fact accessible from anywhere? Currently access has taken the form of phone calls, emails and videoconferences. Technologies, as we know them, will become obsolete and are in the development of producing holographic interfaces - which can support employees to work remotely while interacting with others in a way that’s similar to in-person communication.
