University of Illinois Extension/4-H has a variety of volunteer opportunities, including for STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Teens as Teachers programs and for mentors to help with teen efforts to battle hunger. 4-H is also seeking volunteers who have hobbies that they would want to share with youth (i.e., photography, gardening, art). Adult Literacy Tutors needed. Our partners at adult literacy programs at Scott Community College (West Davenport Center) and Black Hawk College (L.I.F.E.) are seeking volunteers to tutor adults who would like to get their GED (now called HiSet in Iowa), become better parents or grandparents, or achieve more gainful employment.
Language tutors and Math tutors are both needed.
