CBC Conference:
Harnessing Digital Technology for Health Behaviour Change
23rd & 24th February 2015
Our first conference was a resounding success with over 330 researchers, practitioners and technology developers from across 8 countries. 50 speakers presented a wide range of work and ideas, including developing digital interventions using theory, gamification, user engagement and sensor technologies.
For those who missed out on a place this year, you can view the programme, download the slides from the talks, and read the twitter feed and blog posts about the conference here.
Due to popular demand, we will be hosting a 2016 conference – more details to follow!
CBC Research Seminar Series
Ongoing throughout 2015
We have launched our CBC seminar series:

The first seminar took place in February (click here to read the summary and listen to the podcasts). Second seminar to take place in May - registration to open soon!

Schools Network Workshop:
25th March 2015, 9.00-12.00
Are you a UCL-based researcher currently working in, or interested in working with local schools? Not sure who to contact, and/or how to approach schools and get them interested in your research? In collaboration with UCLPartners, UCL Grand Challenges and the Schools Research Network, we are hosting a workshop to highlight the resources available to UCL researchers and to showcase some of the cross-disciplinary projects already working with local schools and young people. A few places still available, click here to register.
Developing 'Behaviour Change Hubs'
As part of our vision to foster inter-disciplinary collaborations in behaviour change, we will be launching 'behaviour change hubs' related to specific areas of interest. Hubs will be supported by the CBC, yet member-driven, enabling them to host their own activities and meetings in line with the interests of their members. Following the success of the CBC Conference, we have four volunteers to set up a ‘Digital Technologies Hub’.
If you would be interested in being part of this Hub, or would like to suggest the focus for another Hub, please contact us via email: behaviourchange@ucl.ac.uk
New Course:
How to change behaviour through community engagement in low resource settings
15th-19th June 2015
Together with the UCL Institute for Global Health, we have developed a new practical short course, which will introduce the principles of behaviour change through community engagement and demonstrate how these can be applied to a range of global health problems.
