We Want YOU for The 30th Annual Winthrop
Holiday Parade

The annual Winthrop Holiday Parade has been a time-honored tradition for the last 30 years. Hundreds of people come to Winthrop Village to enjoy the quaint, old-time feel of this special holiday event. This year, the parade is on Saturday, December 6 at 3:30pm. Line-up starts at 2:30pm at the top of Main Street near Cumberland Farms.

The parade is a wonderful opportunity to advertise your business or organization. Your participation can be as simple as having a couple of people in costumes walking with a banner — or as over the top as entering a full-scale float loaded with decorations. Riding clubs and other groups with animals are encouraged to participate; our furry friends are always a highlight. This year, we are encouraging live music, so if you are involved with a musical group, please consider joining in the holiday fun!

If you or your group has participated in the past:

Thanks so much! We’re happy to have you back!

If this is your first year to participate:

Welcome! We look forward to meeting you!

To feature your float or group in the parade, please print and fill-out this form.  And don't miss this opportunity to sponsor holiday decorations in downtown Winthrop as part of the WLRCC Adopt-a-Pole Program

For more information, contact Victoria Christopher at (207) 441-1463 or mywinthrop@gmail.com.

The 30th Annual Winthrop Holiday Parade is proudly sponsored by the Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, with major support from Kennebec Savings Bank.

KBH's Looking Ahead Clubhouse Part of National Clubhouse Conference
Kennebec Behavioral Health’s Looking Ahead Clubhouse (located in Lewiston) attended the first National Clubhouse Conference in Silver Spring, Maryland (Nov. 12th to 14th) alongside Capitol Clubhouse, High Hopes Clubhouse Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse, and KBH administrator Cheryl Davis. The LAC group of four (Diana B, Valerie L, and two members) attended plenaries, discussions, and lectures given by Clubhouse International Faculty and Clubhouse colleague teams from around the United States.

The LAC colleague team participated in several discussions independently to obtain the most information to bring back to Maine.  One member went as part of a group to Washington, D.C. to speak with legislatures and educate them about the Clubhouse Model.  The LAC colleagues left the conference with many new ideas and a fresh outlook. They were especially intrigued by the education, employment, reach out, funding and personal story discussions. The LAC colleagues were grateful for the opportunity to represent their Clubhouse at this conference and would gladly do so again!
