“Perfection is in the moments, the amazing conversations, and the gratitude we bring to the situation.” ~ Me :)

Hi <<First Name>>,

I wrote this to a friend in an email.  She’d just started a new job and said it wasn't perfect, but it was the best job she’d had in years.

The reason I wrote this is nothing is ever perfect.  If we consistently look for perfection in our jobs, businesses, even ourselves, it is a lesson in frustration.  Nothing ever seems to make the grade.

If instead we focus on the perfection of the moment or conversation, we generate a feeling of peace, joy and gratitude.

Notice this week what stresses you out because it isn't perfect.  It could be your website, your kids or perhaps something at work.  Notice how you feel.  I’ll bet it isn’t good.  Now shift your perspective.  What has been perfect in those areas?  Do you love your About page on your website?  Great celebrate.  Did your kids clean up after dinner?  Another mini celebration.  Did you accomplish an important piece of a work project?  Give yourself a pat on the back.

Ultimately life isn't perfect, but there are perfect moments of time.  Don’t let them slip by.

Jen
