Why Move? Some of the benefits of the new location include:
  1. Warm & inviting atmosphere - sunny, south-facing office...including a deck with views of the Continental Divide!
  2. Increased ability to offer workshops, retreats, groups, and classes to local, Front Range, and destination clientele
  3. Handicap accessibility (elevator access to 3rd floor)
  4. Access to downstairs playground, coffee shop, restaurants, and retail shops
  5. Covered parking & heated walkways
  6. Increased ability to serve both Grand and Clear Creek counties
  7. Opportunity to expand, bringing in other health professionals who offer services that complement those provided by Create Connectivity Counseling!

SYNERGETIC PLAY THERAPY: CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
After completing the 6-month Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) Intro course, Lauren was so inspired by this neuroscience and attachment-based play therapy model that she decided to enroll in the complete advanced training & certification program.  The advanced program kicked off with the 4-day SPT Conference in early June and will continue through July 2016 with monthly classes and supervision.

$2500 COLORADO COUNSELING ASSOCIATION GRANT!
At the 2015 Colorado Counseling Association Conference, Create Connectivity Counseling was awarded a Colorado Counseling Association Service Grant - $2500 to put toward expanding counseling services in rural communities in Colorado.  At minimum of $2000 will go toward direct client services!

GRADUATION!
HAKOMI METHOD OF BODY-CENTERED PSYCHOTHERAPY

In April, Lauren completed the last training weekend of the 2-year comprehensive training in the Hakomi Method: Mindfulness-Centered Somatic Psychotherapy.  Lauren is now a Hakomi Graduate and will continue to bring the Hakomi principles and method to her practice.  Hakomi uses mindfulness and body awareness to gain access to thoughts, emotions, sensations, beliefs, memories, and more, which can be integral to the healing process.
