Vintage is finally drawing to a close and as the winery team begin to settle into a regular sleeping pattern once again, the rest of us wait with great anticipation for the fruits of their labour.

This vintage has seen some exciting new varieties enter our winery that I am sure will delight many of you upon their release. Watch out for the Hunter Valley Fiano in a club pack later this year, it's looking stunning!

With Easter fast approaching our latest edition of the Hungerford Herald includes some great Easter wine specials that are a perfect accompaniment to any dish.

What A Weekend!

It was the weekend of February 27th – March 1st and the Hungerford Hill team packed their bags and headed off to Sydney for Sydney Cellar Door.

Upon arriving we found the sun shining, the birds were chirping and the park was full of a funky festival vibe!

With the offer of a $1,500 Hunter Valley Escape up for grabs, whereby contests simply had to upload a creative pic to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram including #luvhhw, the frivolity soon started!

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

Each year one of the members of our winemaking team (Simon Thistlewood) gloats about his exceptional ability to make what he describes as “the most delicious hot cross buns”… However, after many a year of begging, pleading and perhaps a little bit of threatening, the Hungerford Hill team is still yet to taste said buns!

But through a covert operation we have been able to secure the recipe of these Hot Cross Buns so that you can whip up a batch and see for yourself whether they are in fact “the most delicious hot cross buns” you have ever tasted!
