Youth Sunday was a glorious Sunday, and Sunday, March 29, is one special Sunday: Passion/Palm Sunday. But this Sunday, too, continues our Lenten journey with one of my favorite Old Testament passages: Jeremiah 31: 31-34. It speaks of nothing but Good News, and Good News is something of which we always need and should never tire. Hear of the new covenant Jeremiah touts in a wonderfully poetic passage of scripture. I hope to see you there!
Peace, Larry

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING One Great Hour of Sharing is a Presbyterian (USA) mission that invites you to follow God’s call and take action to help those who are hungry, thirsty, without shelter or a safe place to call home. By supporting this mission, you’re sustaining programs that provide disaster relief, food, clean water, training, and resources to people all over the world. One Great Hour of Sharing donation envelopes will be in the Easter Day service bulletin on Sunday, April 5. You can also give by going online to presbyterianmission.org/give-oghs.

YOUTH FUNDRAISER Last Sunday, the youth began a fundraiser that we hope will begin to build up the youth fund. The youth fund not only provides subsidies for the youth trips that occur throughout the year but it also provides scholarships for those students that may need extra assistance. We never want funding to be a reason for a young person to miss out on a faith forming experience. Throughout the next few weeks, you will see two boards in the narthex on Sunday morning. These boards have cards hanging on them ranging from 1 to 150. The number on the card corresponds to the amount you would give. For example, if you would like to donate $60 you would take the card that has a 60 on it or two cards that equal 60. Our goal is to have all 150 cards chosen. The fundraiser kicked off last Sunday and had a VERY good start. Thank you to those that have already given. We hope others might prayerfully consider giving as well. Again, we thank you so much for your support of the young people at WEPC!!
