UPEI Class of 2015 Alumni Welcome Mixer
The UPEI Alumni Association will host a welcome mixer for the UPEI Class of 2015 and all alumni at the PEI Brewing Company, 76 Kensington Road in Charlottetown on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
We invite all UPEI, SDU, and PWC alumni to join us and extend your well wishes to the UPEI Class of 2015.
Shuttle service will be provided from the PEI Brewing Company to return attendees to campus as well as to a downtown location from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

Halifax Chapter Event Celebrated Panther Basketball Teams at AUS Championships
It was great to have just over 150 UPEI Alumni and Friends get together for the Halifax Chapter event on February 28. The group showed overwhelming support of the UPEI men's and women's Panther basketball teams in the AUS Championship weekend tournament.
Our thanks to the Gahan House Harbourfront location for becoming our official Halifax "Panther Home Away From Home" location.

Call for Nominations:
Distinguished Alumni Awards
The UPEI Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for their Distinguished Alumni Awards.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to a graduate for his or her outstanding contribution to knowledge, the arts, the community, and the university or humanity.
The Inspiring Young Alumni Award is presented to a graduate, under the age of 40, who has shown outstanding determination in achieving success at a young age.
Deadline for nomination submissions is May 15, 2015. Nomination forms are available on the UPEI alumni website.

Climate Diary Training Sessions
UPEI’s Climate Research Lab and Nature PEI are partnering to offer two training sessions for Islanders interested in participating in the Climate Diary project.
The Climate Diary is a printed journal for Islanders to keep record of the changes in the environment as they occur year to year.
Rosemary Curley of Nature PEI will provide training on plant and bird identification on Monday, March 3 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, and again on Tuesday, March 30 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
To register for either session, contact climate@upei.ca. The sessions are free. Copies of The Climate Diary will be made available at $10 per copy.
