Dear d.tech families,
Welcome back, I hope that you had a rejuvenating spring break. Here is the news for the week.
Facilities Update
The district has made a preliminary offer of the facility at 1800 Rollins Rd for the next two school years. The offer can be found here. We will construct our response to the offer and anticipate having everything finalized by the end of April. In our response, we will not request a different location, but instead request some additional considerations to make the facility comparable. We will also begin design sessions next week for a building at the Oracle campus, as we continue forward with that as a long-term solution.

The goal of the Prototyping Festival is to unite diverse neighborhoods along Market Street, encouraging these vibrant communities to work with designers, artist and makers to build a more connected, beautiful San Francisco. This unique collaboration is a partnership between the San Francisco Planning Department, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the Knight Foundation. A diverse jury 50+ makers, artists, thought leaders and community stakeholders reviewed the hundreds of submissions. Ideas were chosen based on their creativity, sense of community, potential to make Market Street a more vibrant public space, and ability to identify Market Street as uniquely San Francisco.
