New Twist for 2015 Celebrating the Craft (CTC)—Now, You’re the Judge.

This year’s CTC will feature an addition to our annual Scottish Rite Has Talent (SRHT)—a live competition to discover Scottish Rite’s Favorite Talent. On Saturday, May 16, 6 p.m. to Midnight (Eastern Time), SRHT winners will be performing with the hopes of being named the viewers’ choice. Every Valley, Orient, brother and family member is encouraged to donate to the Rebuilding the Temple Campaign in the name of their favorite performer. After all live performances and donations are submitted, we will announce Scottish Rite’s Favorite Talent for 2015.

Already have plans for CTC?
Does your Valley have plans to celebrate? Did you know that participating in CTC is one of the tasks listed in VMAP Subject Area 8—Philanthropy & Public Image?

Why Not Consider a Scottish Rite Tough Mudder Team in 2015?

What is Tough Mudder?
Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10–12 mile obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles. (Just check out how the Lake Tahoe team takes on the "Pyramid Scheme" challenge above!)

The Lake Tahoe Scottish Rite Tough Mudder Team took the mountain on August 16, 2014 at Lake Tahoe, CA. All 5 team members from 2013 returned and 8 new members were added for 2014. The Capital Area Scottish Rite Tough Mudder Team took on the Capital Region Tough Mudder Event in West Virginia on September 27 and 28, 2014.

Although these are very grueling events, they are also fun. We will be forming teams to compete again in 2015. Not the athletic type yourself? Not to worry! These teams still could use your support and encouragement.

If you would like to form a team or for more information on the Scottish Rite Tough Mudder program, please email membership@scottishrite.org.
