A Look at the Year Ahead
Pres. Brandy Alley
Hello Women’s Network Members!
I’d like to start off by offering a huge thanks to Lesley for serving as our President this past year. She has set a high standard that I only hope I can uphold! I am excited for a new year of networking and new members. Congratulations also to our new board members (see right). I’ve been a member of this wonderful organization for several years, and now it’s my turn to give back by serving as its president.

One of my goals this year is to increase our membership. We all know women who would benefit from some networking with other women. If every member brings just one guest this year, we can spread the word and grow all of our connections.

I encourage each and every one of you to take advantage of your 30 seconds of networking and to become more involved with Women’s Network. We are always looking for greeters, and don’t miss the chance to sign up for a business table where your time to network is increased to two minutes.

I look forward to a fun and relaxed year of networking! If you ever have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.

May Spotlight:
Ashley Kauffman
Meet Ashley Kauffman:
Dr. Ashley Kauffman is the proud owner and operator of Rushmore Family Chiropractic. Rushmore Family Chiropractic opened in December of 2013 after Dr. Kauffman returned to her home town here in Rapid City.

Dr. Kauffman went to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and focused on pre medical studies. Her path took her to Portland, Oregon where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States. After getting her degree, Dr. Kauffman worked with another chiropractor in Carbondale, Colorado for a few years. Family brought her back to her home town of Rapid City and here she is!

Dr. Ashley Kauffman is married to Josh Kauffman, who she stole away from Portland. She is pregnant with their first child and hopefully by the time you read this that baby boy will be in her arms instead of in her belly. As an avid outdoor participant, she loves to ski, snowboard, hike, camp, fish and lay on her hammock with a good book. With her impressive list of credentials, Dr. Kauffman may seem to be all about her thriving practice. Spend more than 10 minutes with her and you'll see a person who loves to have fun. Reporting her dream job to be "Nacho Cheese Taster," she brings a lot of joy to patients with her wit as well as her extensive knowledge regarding human biology. Dr. Ashley loves the opportunities to reach out to people throughout our community, and appreciates the chance to meet your friends and family through referrals!

At Rushmore Family Chiropractic, Dr. Ashley Kauffman understands the body's ability to heal itself when given an optimal environment. She uses a hands on approach to help her patients and clients alleviate pain, and reach their wellness potential!

Dr. Kauffman is the perfect person to touch base with if you're suffering from back pain, headaches, carpel tunnel, knee issues, or tennis elbow to name a few! She will assist any range of patient needs through consultation and treatment, and loves seeing her patients through to complete recoveries.

Not only does Rushmore Family Chiropractic provide chiropractic care, but also nutrition, muscle therapy and rehabilitation. Rushmore Family Chiropractic is a family oriented company that welcomes and helps people of all ages from newborns to their grandparents. High quality, compassionate, effective healthcare for the entire family.

Dr. Ashley Kauffman’s promise to you as the patient, is to treat you as the individual you are and listen to what your goals are. You are in charge of your health and she will be here to serve you in whatever way we can.

Michelle Minnerath
Meet Michelle Minnerath:
I am a CPA and Senior Manager in the tax department at Ketel Thorstenson, LLP, where I assist clients with their tax returns along with assisting them with all parts of their businesses from setting them up to selling them off. In addition, I specialize in farm/ranch tax returns along with estate and trust returns.

Not only am I involved with Women’s Network, where I have served on the board as treasurer and treasurer elect, I am also the President of the West River Estate Financial Planning Council, Vice-President of the Rapid City Downtown Association, and a 2008 Leadership Rapid City graduate. My LRC class was the group that started Once Upon a Festival fundraiser at Storybook Island to help keep it a free park to the public. I still volunteer at that event every year.

My husband Cody, who is an electrician for Mr. Electric, and I have been married 5 years. We have 3 boys Lucas (5), Jacob and Andrew (2). We like to spend our free time working on various projects at our house, gardening, fishing, camping, and bowling. We also spend a lot of time visiting our families back in Lemmon and Hoven, SD. The kids love to go back to the farm and see all the animals.
