NDLINK MONTHLY UPDATE

Connect. Collaborate. Coordinate.

“A politician thinks of the next election. A Statesman, of the next generation .”
— James Freeman Clarke

Dear NDLinkers,

March was a very busy month for us. I'm sure it was the case for many of you as well. For us, we tackled the big and small issues, from celebrating International Women's Day to talking about the importance of water and sanitation for our health on World Water Day; from discussing election day safety tips and monitoring election day activities on March 28th to participating during the Rivers State Governors debate on the 23rd. Thanks to PIND's partner, FFP, we were also able to share recent election violence updates

Election fever isn't over. There's still the Governors and National Assembly elections on April 11th and our election safety tips still stand. We hope you will share them with your personal and professional networks and insist on being safe at all times, and most importantly shun election violence.

The Presidential election is over and the results announced and shared widely. Below is the final map detailing the breakdown down of votes per state, provided by Fitila Nigeria. Visit their website (or click on the image below) to find more detail per state, as well as compare election results of 2015 against 2011.

Until next month,
NDLink Team

Have you visited our Forum page on NDLink lately? We currently have an on-going discussion on ways you can play a part in promoting peace in your own community. Join the conversation and have your say

If you were unable to attend the March 23rd Rivers State Governor's debate with the three aspiring candidates, NDLink created a Storify to recapture the event, including key highlights and take-aways from the event.

International Women's Day was March 8th and in honor of that day, PIND and NDLink highlighted 8 inspiring women who are making it happen in their communities to promote peace. Their detailed profiles, as well as the work they are doing were chronicled under NDBlog this month.

Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! We've posted some new jobs on the platform, notably the Gender Advisor position with IFES Nigeria and the Regional Chapter Coordinator with the Aspen Institute.  Check our dedicated jobs page often for postings of new jobs.
