2015 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2015 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards. As one of the largest and busiest tourism regions in Victoria, we believe the Great Ocean Road region has many worthy businesses, eligible for nomination. We hope that the following information will encourage you to nominate and assist with the submission process.

Why should you enter?

Participation in the awards program translates into a number of competitive advantages and benefits:

We would love to see as many entrants as possible from the Great Ocean Road region. If you are considering entering please talk to a GORRT representative for advice, there are numerous tools available to simplify the process. There is plenty of time to get your submission ready with the deadline for submissions extended this year to 4pm Monday 24 August 2015!

You are not alone...

There is substantial support available for nominees, recognising that Victoria has a number of industry leaders, the Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) provides a Mentor Program which enlists the support of former Judges and Hall of Fame winners who are experienced entrants. Mentors volunteer their time and expertise to assist operators with advice and guidance about preparing a quality Tourism Awards submission.

All entrants that wish to be mentored need to nominate to enter the 2015 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards prior to being assigned a mentor.

FREE Preparatory Workshop (delivered subject to interest)


Businesses wishing to attend a FREE preparatory workshop for the Victorian Tourism Awards are asked to advise us at info@gort.com.au by Friday 10 April 2015.
 
If enough businesses are interested in attending a free preparatory workshop, this workshop will be delivered by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) to provide insight into the benefits of entering and give you the opportunity to learn how to prepare a successful submission. You will hear what judges look for in each question and it is a great opportunity to chat with other entrants about their experience entering the awards previously.
If you are a first-time entrant or have entered the tourism awards in 2014 or in previous years, it is important you attend this workshop to understand the changes that have been implemented in 2015 to the categories and criteria.
