April Fool's Day, <<First Name>>!
No, this isn't a joke... it's just an update on the reunion that happens to be going out on April 1. Have a fun day while you're at it!
Thanks for your responses to my last e-mail to save the date for our 45-year reunion, scheduled for the weekend of October 9-11, 2015 in Riverside (if you've forgotten or deleted any past e-mails, they're all archived here).
We've been going through the laborious process of updating the alumni contact database prior to mailing out invitations, but while that's going on, there are two items of interest for your consideration in this e-mail:
1. Take a Quick Poll. We want to get an idea which of you are likely to attend the reunion, what your menu preferences are, and the best ways to contact you. This quick poll should only take a couple of minutes at most, and your feedback is important. Please take the time to provide your input (if you previously took the poll using the link on Facebook, you can ignore this step).
2. Do me a Quick Favor. I need a local resident of Riverside to assist me in reserving the Fairmount Park picnic shelter for 4 hours on Sunday, October 11. You'll need to contact the Parks & Recreation Department (I'll provide you with the details) and be willing to put around $250 - $300 on your credit card. I will fully reimburse you within a week. We now have a little more than six months to get everything planned and implemented. We're nailing down vendors, costs, and details, and should be getting the invitations into the mail by mid-May. As always, stay tuned!
