As tempting as it is to compose an April fool's joke of a newsletter, "we regret to inform you that we are closing our doors forever..." I'm gonna keep it real and tell you about stuff that is actually happening. For instance, tomorrow is First Thursday, and we are having a party! Shocker, I know.

In other (truly) shocking news, we are having our first ever storewide SALE! Thursday 4/2 through Saturday 4/4 (we will be closed on Sunday 4/5 for Easter) everything in the store is 20% off (except original artworks by our featured artists and workshops)! Even clearance stuff! Come help us make room for new stuff (and pay our rent)!
Switching gears, usually this is the part of the newsletter where we announce the classes and workshops for the month; and it still is ... but with a twist.
Starting April 12th, we are going to be refocusing our efforts on a new approach to the make and learn concept that is more out-of-the-box creativity-focused, and less craft of the month club. You can read about the idea in this blog post.
Without further ado, we are excited to announce ... CREATIVE BOOTCAMP! It's an 8-week series that we can almost guarantee will help you flex your creative muscles in ways you never thought possible! If you are interested in dropping in for a session, make sure to check the facebook page to see if space is available. We hope to see you there!
And speaking of creativity, Feast VI is coming up! If you have a project idea you want to pitch to the most engaged 200 people you'll ever meet, PLUS have the chance to win $1,000 to help fund your project, you'll probably want to check it out. If you don't want to pitch an idea but want to come eat a delicious meal and cast your vote, you can do that too. Either way, we hope to see you at the VaC on 5.4.15!

Inspired by the Chicago-based creative club Soho House, Creative MakeSpace is an unaffiliated place to work, ask questions, take meetings, drink and eat, network, collaborate, be quiet, and smash our brains together. A place to continue to figure out how to make this city one of the coolest places to live. Sounds awesome, right? It assembles every friday from 12-6 in the lobby of the Owyhee building, and everyone is invited.
We will be there Friday 4/10 (the application deadline) from 4-6pm to answer any questions you might have about Feast, and will have a super easy on-site application process. Let's do this.
