The Easter Triduum
Keeping these Great Three Days with our parish
The Easter Triduum, the Three Days, begins Thursday evening. This is the climax of the Christian Year, the most holy days in the Great Tradition. We encourage everyone to keep these days in honor of our Lord.

Maundy Thursday
Thursday is the anniversary of the Last Supper. On this night, Jesus gave us the sacrament of Communion, taught us how to love by washing our feet, and gave us the Great Commandment.
We relive these holy events at our evening service, Thursday night, April 2nd, at 7 pm. Join us for the annual foot washing ceremony, Communion, and the stripping of the altar.
Tenebrae is specifically for the world, but Maundy Thursday is specifically for the Church. Do not miss it.
Childcare is provided.

Good Friday
Good Friday is the anniversary of our Lord's crucifixian, the sacrifice of the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.
We honor Good Friday in two ways. First, we sit vigil at the Cross from noon until 3 pm, the hours our Lord hung there. We hear meditations on his last words, and sit in silent contemplation.
At 6 pm, we follow the cross through the 14 stations. We do this outdoors.
Childcare is provided for the Seven Last Words, but not for the Stations.
Good Friday is a day of corporate fasting.

Easter
The Resurrection of Jesus is the most important event in the history of the universe. We celebrate it with...
The Great Vigil, which begins at 5:30 a.m., rehearses salvation history, reaffirms our Baptisms, and ends in the celebration of Communion at dawn.
Eucharist at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. We expect many visitors, so please park at the Lipscomb football field and take our shuttle (if you can).
The Great Easter Feast. Join us for a community lunch. If you haven't signed up to bring something, e-mail: smith052013@gmail.com
