Lenten Devotional Series

Con Amor

by Ramiro Gonzalez

This is a song I want you to hear, that's part of my life.

Marco Antonio Solis wrote this song.  He was in seminary to become a priest, and then he decided he wanted to have a family.  In Catholic religion, priests aren't allowed to marry.  So he gave up the priesthood and is now writing Christian songs.  Now he has a big family.

I can identify with this song.  I've been in different ways, looking for people, looking for love.  But finally love flew right into my life when I became a Christian and followed Jesus.  Since I've found God.

I translated the song into English for you:

It's difficult to find a place in life, when you're so cold in your heart.
We're always looking for some kind of smile, a little understanding.
Someone who can help us to understand, things that we don't want to see.
It gives us the desire to live.

Today the love comes into my life,  I'm pretty sure I always need it.
I was stumbling different ways with sadness, crying, but always with my faith.
The sadness disappeared, my hope shines, my soul is full of peace.

With love we can get there.
With love we can fight.
With love there is no fear of the end, oh thanks God!
To bring me the best time of my life.

Prayer:  Dear God, thank you for St. Pauls and for bringing peace to our lives.  Thanks for all of St. Pauls for being so kind, so lovely, and part of my family.  Amen.
