Summer has never been more fun with two great programs from CYT!

For kids 8-18 we have a full fledged musical, Shrek, Jr. Join us for our first ever summer intensive while we mount a full production in 3 weeks! Dates are June 29th-July 26, performing at Aptos High School.

For kids 4-12, we have a wonderful journey Off to Neverland, along with Peter Pan and Wendy...and of course, Captain Hook! Dates are August 3-7 at Twin Lakes Church. This year we are offering after care for our younger campers, as well.

Teens ages 13-18 can apply to be camp counselors at Off to Neverland Camp August 3rd-7th! Counselors who work a full day at camp can earn $100 off of our Summer Intensive show, Shrek (only the first 15 to apply are eligible.)

Improv Show

And now we're back to do it again! Join us for another fantastic family friendly improv show brought to you by the CYT Santa Cruz Improv Team: (Somewhere over) The Rainbroz on Friday April 17th, 7-9pm.

For only $5, watch the Yellow Team face off against the Blue Team for a battle of the laughs!

HYPE Happenings

Hello CYT!

Showcase is really coming along guys! Keep up the amazing work!

So now you all know about our top secret Luau mission! I hope you all are ready for May 2nd because at the Bonn’s house, 789 Sugar Pine Road in Scotts Valley, a little bit of paradise is coming your way from 4:00-9:00 p.m.! This is seriously going to be the best, and you know why? Dinner is also going to be served! Nothing is better than Hawaiian aromas all around, friends, and food! Hula Dancing will be taught by Abbey! If you are going to be a lone wolf at this event, tickets will be 20$. If you’re bringing the family along too, then you can get the group price of 70$ (families of 4 or more), and if you are under 3 years old, you are set because you get in free! We truly hope to see you there!

Want to make a difference in CYT? Consider applying for HYPE! If you have been with CYT for a year and will be 15 or a sophomore in high school by Fall Session, then you are eligible! Applications are due on April 23rd. Download an application here!

Class Information

Hi CYT Students and Parents,

I hope you had a wonderful Easter!

No class this week April 9th, which is spring break for many but not all schools. We will resume class on April 16th.

Mary Jo Epperson and I will be checking in this week to see how the parent committees are doing with fundraiser planning. Please contact us if you have any questions!

Remember that parents will have an opportunity to see a preview of the Night on Broadway performance by coming to the Family Showcase on May 14th from 6:00-7:15.

Production Information

Hi families! Everyone has been doing a great job working on our final performance! Since there is no class next week, we only have 4 classes left until our May 14th Family Showcase and performance on the 17th.

Please practice what you have learned so far over the break and listen to your music.

If you have misplaced your CD, I have uploaded the songs here for your convenience.

Please be off book (with all your the words to your music memorized) by the time you come back from break. This will help us make the most of our time when we come back from break.

Fundraiser Information

What a great gift this event will be to folks who enjoy silent auctions/raffles and all around fun! We are stacking up quite an amazing night for our dinner guests!
Last week at class we gave out 5 printed invites to each family. If you need more cards, we have plenty... just let us know and we can get you more.
You can also send it in an email with this electronic invite.

Tickets are on sale and they are moving fast... we have already sold 1/3 of the seats!
