Updated peatland resources

Understanding the potential for peatland restoration and how it might contribute to greenhouse gas emissions reduction is a research priority in Scotland.

We have updated our peatland restoration resources with a detailed technical review of the implications of the 2013 Supplement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories: Wetlands.

Community renewables work informs consultation

Recent ClimateXChange work on community investment in commercial energy has been used to develop the Scottish Government's 'Good Practice Principles For Shared Ownership Of Onshore Renewable Energy Developments'

The document sets out good practice expectations for developers, communities and other stakeholders, as well as providing guidance on how best to deliver shared ownership projects, and is currently out for consultation.

Emissions, Cleaner Energy Generation and Energy Efficiency: Different perspectives of EU 20-20-20
